Club career

Udinese

Udinese signed him in 2006 in a co-ownership with Treviso, which became permanent in June 2007. He was given the number 2 jersey and made 63 appearances in the two seasons with Udinese, scoring 22 league goals along the way. Liverpool

On 4 July 2008, Liverpool confirmed the signing of Dossena on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee, reported to be in the region of £7 million, becoming the second Italian to play for the club, behind Daniele Padelli. Dossena was signed as a direct replacement for John Arne Riise who left for Roma. On July 10, 2008, it was announced that Dossena would wear the number 2 shirt. Club career

Cannavaro made his professional debut for his hometown side Napoli during the 1998–99 season in Serie A, while he was 17 years old. The following season he was signed by Parma, playing alongside his older brother Fabio Cannavaro in his first season at the club. In fact Paolo's debut for Parma came when he replaced his brother as a substitute in Parma's 4–1 victory against Lecce.
Verona took the player on loan during the 2001–02 season, Cannavaro turned out 25 times for the club, scoring his first professional goal. Career

Vicenza

Maggio began his career at Vicenza making his Serie A debut in the 2000–2001 season, finishing the campaign with six appearances. However, despite some success on a personal level, Vicenza were subsequently relegated to Serie B at the end of the season. Maggio stayed with Vicenza until 2003, making 38 appearances in total while managing to score just 1 goal.

Fiorentina

In 2003, Maggio signed for A.C.F. Fiorentina. Maggio did not appear for Fiorentina until they were promoted from Serie B for the 2004–2005 season. Overall, Maggio played 56 games for The Viola, scoring 2 goals over a 4 year period.

Sampdoria

However, it was not until Maggio signed for Sampdoria that he began to fulfill the potential he had shown when playing for Italy at youth level. However since he started playing on the wing, his quality has improved and he is arguably better as a right winger rather than a right back considering his greatly improved attacking skills.

Muslera started his professional football career with Montevideo Wanderers in 2004, having come through the club's youth system.
